Doctoral Consortium

The WI2026 Doctoral Consortium is aimed at doctoral students in business informatics or related disciplines who are in their second or third year of doctoral studies. It offers participating doctoral students the opportunity to present their dissertation projects in detail in a workshop format and to further develop them through coaching and high-quality feedback from experienced professors. Furthermore, exchange with other doctoral students is encouraged through peer feedback.

Application Process

The basis for selection is a three-page exposé (summary) of the dissertation project. The submitted exposés will be evaluated and ranked by the participating professors with regard to the significance and justification of the research question, the scientific quality of the paper, the potential contribution of the applicant to the Doctoral Consortium, and the potential benefit of the Doctoral Consortium for the applicant. The authors of the 20 best exposés will be invited to the Doctoral Consortium and will then be asked to submit a long version and present their research project.
